We recently flexed our creative muscles for Bendy Em – a performance artist whose show is a mix of amazing contortion and cheeky audience banter. Bendy Em approached Elk with the task of delivering a fresh website that reflected her rather ‘out there’ personality! The challenge came in creating a site that was fun, cheeky, and totally out of the box – all on a shoe-string budget.
We decided that the best way to make this kind of impact was to focus on Bendy Em herself. We did a photoshoot and captured Bendy Em doing what she does best – mind blowing contortion! We translated that into a flash-based sequence, brought a light-hearted tone of voice to the words and voilà, a fantasticly simple site that show cases what Bendy Em is all about, and entertains the viewer at the same time.
