Happy 2012! It's been a big start to the new year for the Elks. We have moved our office into the city and gone live with a brand new website. And to celebrate we are offering one of our readers a free 2 hour strategy session with The Elk Group, designed to help you understand the essence of your brand, what it represents and how it should come to life.

The work we have done for Dig.et.al has been nominated in the identity category of this year’s Desktop Create Awards. Dig.et.al, an online marketing company based in Melbourne, needed a fresh new look to best represent their brand – contemporary and sophisticated, yet creative and edgy. We kept it simple with strong typography cut into at an angle, and coupled this with a modern image of a yellow lounge chair – inviting the reader to come in and meet the team at Dig.et.al. Kat Low, one of Elk’s fantastic designers, is now the proud mum of a Maltese Shi Tzu – Dexter. At 14 weeks Dexter has devoured his first pair of socks, he has learnt how to run into a wall at full speed, and is keeping his mum on her toes. Luckily for us he only comes to visit once a week, or there would be no work done.

The Love You Book has launched!

As a designer, I always try to be working on one creative project that is purely for the love of design. And last year I spent every spare moment I had creating a fantasy world around the beautiful words written by Andrew Wynne.

The result is The Love You Book. The Love You Book is inspired by love and devoted to helping people to express love - simply, eloquently and completely.

The book is now available at all major bookstores (and some gift stores) in Australia and New Zealand, just in time for Christmas.
