Ooops! Watch where you’re going!

The next time you’re out on the streets in London, bring a magnifying glass with you! You never know when you might come across one of Slinkachu’s little people.

This London-based artist creates miniature street installations to encourage city dwellers to be more aware of their surroundings. What’s so inspiring is how he alters each of his little people to arrange them in real urban scenarios on the streets. He then photographs the scenes and leaves them for passer-bys to stumble upon. Slinkachu’s ultimate result, the photographs are so impressive; the close-ups make you feel like you’re part of the scene while the distant shots leave you feeling like a spectator.

Slinkachu has created installations in and around Europe. We hope that in the near future he decides to use the vast Australian outback as a backdrop for one of his mini projects.

A moment in time

Gravity doesn't seem to be a problem for French photographer Denis Darzacq. His 'Hyper' series portrays dancers in supermarkets floating in mid air, creating a surreal juxtaposition of these serene bodies within a busy, consumerist setting. Darzacq has a unique ability to capture the right moment, almost like freezing time itself. Such an amazing series that truly deserves our time and attention.

Eliot Lee Hazel

Eliot Lee Hazel is a LA based photographer whose images we just love. A cross between fine art and fashion photography, his beautiful images almost seem like romantic paintings. His work, reminiscient of two other photographers that we absolutley adore Ryan McGinley and Neil Krug, could Eliot perhaps be their long lost son?!

Nirrimi Joy Hakkanson

Fashion photographer Nirrimi Hakanson is taking the world by storm, and at the tender age of 18 she truly has the world at her feet! Completely self taught, her photographs are breathtakingly beautiful, and it's no wonder that the fashion set are sitting up and taking notice! She most recently has been commissioned to shoot the  2011 Fall/Winter campaign for global fashion brand "Diesel" and is currently working on her first book in between shooting for editorial magazines and updating her gorgeous photo blog. We can't wait to see what else is to come from this wunderkind.

Dirk Weidlein Church Photography

German based photographer Dirk Weidlein portrays church interiors in a whole new light! Beautifully graphic, and perfectly executed, these photographs of churches from cities around the world are rich in colour and texture and almost look like illustrations. We think Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah" would be a fitting soundtrack to a slideshow of these sublime photos, don't you?
