Forget high end fashion at its finest
Just when you thought the ancient computer graphics of the 8-bit and pixel were gone, Hong Kong based fashion devotee Penter Yip of Fashionary has brought them back into vogue. Yip’s pixelated interpretations of designs by names like Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garçons and Viktor & Rolf are so simple yet invoke the style of each house they reference. We are so in love with these prints!
Honey, can you pass me my banana shoes?
When you're trying to make a good impression, put your best foot forward... I just can't decide if it should be the slingshot foot or the tartan trolley foot. Thanks to footwear designer Kobi Levi, his think-outside-the-shoe approach has created an array of wild and artistic pieces. The hardest part is deciding if they belong in a display cabinet or on your feet, strutting your stuff past shocked on-lookers. Just remember that each piece is hand made in Levi's studio so once you've wedged your duck-beak shoe into some poorly made concrete, you probably won't be getting another pair like it.

Hostem
A new shop has just emerged in the East End of London. It houses a unique, rustic interior that is in a stark contrast to the high end brands that they stock - It's the perfect juxtaposition of rawness and luxury. Talented interior design duo, Jamesplumb are to be credited for the beautiful spaces that they have created. We can only wish we were in London to see it up close!
Michelle Jank for Acne Jeans
Acclaimed Australian fashion designer, jewellry designer, stylist and creative director Michelle Jank has creative directed a series of short films for Scandinavian fashion label Acne Jeans. A beautiful way to present the collections for each season, the first was shot in the Barbican in London for the 2010 collection, whilst the second short film for the 2011 collection was shot over here in Sydney with an entirely Australian team. These films are so haunting and beautiful, we could watch them over and over again.
Colleen Choi Jewellery
Ever felt like packing up your job and following your creative dreams? Well, fortunately for us, Colleen Choi has done just that. Leaving her Californian home, and CPA career, she travelled to the other side of the country to pursue her dreams of jewellery design in NYC.
Now you can see her beautiful one off works - gorgeous show pieces that use a range of high end and non precious materials that really do show off her skills as a conceptual designer. Quoted as saying "When people glance at my pieces, I want them to have to take a second look". We think she's been more than successful. Have a look at the two pieces above that particularly caught our eye, and visit her website to see more of her beautiful creations.
