The busy bees
Hidden among the thousands of rooftops that make up Hong Kong’s iconic cityscape are dozens of beehives that are being cared for by a community of beekeepers, artists and designers.
Hong Kong based designer Michael Leung founded HK Honey as a way to bring nature back to the metropolis one box at a time. The aim of this non-profit organization is to harvest the honey for use in local café’s, to promote local eating. This socio-cultural project aspires to create a community that connects the local people and beekeepers while communicating the value of bees to the human food chain.
This is truly an inspirational project, we can only wish we were in Hong Kong to have our own little box of bees.

The Ship Song Project
Have you ever seen something that has left you speechless at its beauty? I never thought a YouTube video could make me feel this way, until I saw The Ship Song Project. This promotional piece for the Opera House features an array of Australian singers, performing Nick Cave's 'The Ship Song' in different parts of The Sydney Opera House. The sounds from the musical talent combined with the visual beauty of the architecture creates a truly moving piece – reminding us all that Australia has so much to offer when it comes to the arts. Well done to Three Drunk Monkeys for creating an inspiring piece that makes us Aussies so proud!

Augmented reality cinema
Ever felt star struck just being on a location where a movie was shot? I for one was oozing with excitement when I heard the The Matrix chopper fly around Sydney CBD. But imagine if you could be apart of it... real movies, real scenes but not so real timing. Introducing the Augmented Reality Cinema – an iphone app that replays movie scenes at the actual place of filming. It works by sensing location hotspots allowing you to view the relevant movie clip that had been shot in the same place. However, this technology is still undergoing development and we can only hope its release will be swift. For when it does, you can bet I'll be in Martin Place to relive The Matrix chopper scene!

Ksubi's first fashion film - in coloured denim style!
Trends come and go. Remember that bright coloured pair of denim you threw out some time ago thinking you’d never wear it again? Well, thanks to Ksubi, coloured denim has made an international comeback.
Ksubi have launched their Kolors range with an expressive fashion film, directed by Daniel Askill. Their first short film is a slow-motion battle featuring three models as modern-day matadors leaping above retro Ford cars, set in a grey almost eerie industrial wasteland. Accompanied by an operatic soundtrack, clouds of smoke of vivid colours mystify around these models as they highlight the colours of the denim. Solemn yet visually stunning, this film portrays a juxtaposition of contrasting moods.
This fashion film captured my attention in a world of clutter, and quite simply allowed me to feel. Something that I rarely get to do with brands. Thank you Ksubi.
Holly Fulton Fashion Film
London based illustrator, director and animator Quentin Jones is a rising force to be reckoned with. Already commissioned for projects for British Vogue, this short film for fashion label Holly Fulton is a flurry of flash bulbs, Manhattan skylines, lions and lipstick. That's quite a few of our favourite things, so it's no wonder this film brings a big smile to our faces. So cute!
